Migraine is a type of headache that is really severe and hurting strongly. There are a lot of people who are troubled with this disease. It can even be so strong that people lose conscious during headaches. Also they may experience nausea or even vomiting.
How to get rid of headaches? Most of us have asked this question many-many times. Of course there are some chemical remedies such as different pain pills etc, but some people would first like to try out some natural remedies. It is because those prescription medications may have different unpleasant side effects. And if you are already troubled with a severe headache, the last thing you look for are other problems in addition to that.

One of the natural remedies is aromatherapy. It is said to be very effective and helpful. You need to add five to ten drops of peppermint or lavender essential in a glass of nice warm water. If you are not a fan of those particular essences, try out something you like better. Next take a cloth and soak it in the mixture and then place the cloth on your head or the back of your neck. This should really relieve the pain.
People have also tried rubbing their forehead, temples and back of the neck with oil mixture. This mixture is made of almond oil with a few drops of peppermint oil.
If you are unable to bear the pain then one quick way is to snort cayenne pepper. It is told that this method reduces pain instantly. Another quick help comes from ginger juice or juice made from fresh ginger root, apples and carrots. This juice should be drank few minutes after the pain started.
Some specialists even say that massage can become really helpful when talking about migraine headaches. They suggest four main points to massage - the top of your head, between the shoulder and the neck or the thumb and the index finger and also between the big and the second toe. These main points should be massaged three to five minutes each and as long as it takes the pain to go away.
It is also useful to massage at the exact point where the pain is such as the temples, between your eyes and centre of the head.
If you don't find these tips helpful at all, then you still have to take medicine. You may find naproxen, paracetamol and ibuprofen quite helpful. There are also prescription medications, but it is necessary to consult with your doctor. She/he knows which one suits you the best.
The best way to not experience this exhausting pain would be to prevent them in the first place. You need to avoid the factors that result in migraine. Different people may have different migraine causes, so find out yours to help yourself!
